I. Shodhganga: Access Thesis, Research Papers, Dissertations
Participation in
research requires patience and determination on the part of the researcher. To
ensure a steady and smooth flow of research, MHRD has launched Shodhganga, a
phenomenal collection of dissertations and research papers from around the
world.
Ph.D. students often
have problems with fewer resources, which can help them streamline the
job-graduation process. Whether it's a literature review, introduction, or
research methodology, it is possible to find research gaps when you have access
to other people's work. To provide a fluid and stable research materials for
beginners, MHRD launched Shodhganga, a reservoir for simple dissertations,
dissertations, and research papers.
About Shodhganga
Shodhganga is a
digital repository for Indian e-PhD and Ph.D. thesis created by the INFLIBNET
Center. As the name "Shodh" suggests, this is the Sanskrit word for
research and discovery, and "Ganga" is the holiest, largest, and
longest river of all the rivers in the Indian subcontinent. Shodhganga is a
large reservoir for research and discovery (intellectual property) for
scientists supported by the INFLIBNET center.
Shodhganga Important Statistics
A Reservoir of
numerous thesis and dissertations contains:
283000 – Full-Text thesis
7000 – Synopsis/MRPs/PDFs/Fellowship
463 – Universities Contributing
533 – Universities signed MoU
Shodhganga's aim
Researchers invest a
lot of time, money, and effort in choosing research topics. Shodhganga aims to
gather all previous research so that it is no longer duplicated. Other
scientists' dissertations and thesis remain intact and underutilized, and
Shodhganga strives to make any research available to other scientists through
this platform. Having these digital resources available online helps other
researchers save time and effort, and identify gaps in unfinished work.
Who is in charge of Shodhganga?
Shodhganga is managed
and operated by INFLIBNET Center using open-source digital storage software
called DSpace. DSpace was developed by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of
Technology) in collaboration with Hewlett-Packard (HP). Any research
participant who has access to Shodhganga can submit their dissertation or
research paper on this platform to help others make their research more
reliable and unique.
Why ShodhGanga?
Shodhganga is a large
reservoir of Indian theses and can capture, index, store, distribute and store
the ETDs (electronic thesis and dissertation) presented by researchers.
Shodhganga made it easy to navigate, which was very important in saving young
researchers time. Some universities are tied to this platform, which means that
students at home can access distant university materials.
This will help prevent
plagiarism levels in research. Students often face problems plagiarizing their
leader's content and work. This platform is essential to ensure that research
topics are not repeated when new research is being carried out.

- II.VIDWAN e-Learning Portal for Higher Studies | Know-how Scholars, Researchers can benefit
VIDWAN is an
e-learning portal tailored to the needs of researchers and teachers at various
universities and institutes. Find out how you can use the VIDWAN portal and its
features to reward your academic research.
Research on brick and
mortar structures has been suspended during the global coronavirus outbreak.
There is less interaction between students and teachers, which is usually done
around the clock at the facility. However, other regulations allow students to
continue their studies without interruption.
Vidwan is an
e-learning portal especially designed for students, experts, educational
institutions, and politicians. The portal contains a useful database that will
be useful in providing information from peer experts, prospective staff,
policymakers at funding agencies, and researchers in the country.
About VIDWAN
The VIDWAN database
was developed and maintained by the Library and Information Network Center
(INFLIBNET) with financial support from the National Mission for Education
through ICT (NME-ICT).
The purpose of the VIDWAN portal
The database extracted
from the VIDWAN portal is essential for the panel selected by the Government of
India. Members selected for panels can be appointed as experts for various
commissions, working groups set up by the ministry/government. Experts working
for this purpose are responsible for evaluating the processes and cases
assigned to them.
How do I use VIDWAN?
Experts are teachers
who submit their data to the VIDWAN database, which colleagues then confirm.
This database will continue to be used by prospective researchers at the end of
their research.

the main database containing the profiles of rich academics/researchers and
other faculty working in leading academic institutions. Besides, R&D
organizations active in teaching and research in India are an active part of
the VIDWAN portal.
VIDWAN is a trusted
portal that focuses not only on building relationships between students and
teachers but also important information about expert backgrounds, contact
addresses, experiences, scientific publications, skills and achievements,
researcher identities, etc. stock.
